Tenants are welcome to collect, dispose of, sell or otherwise discard contents. Tenants are asked to be careful of disturbing the colony of wild cats that have taken up residence, especially during the mating season. They tend to be especially high strung during that period. The wild cats provide an invaluable pest control and intruder alert system and are a complimentary amenity with the cottage rental.

The living room, kitchen and dining area make the best use of available space with an open concept floor plan. Furnishings are simple and eclectic, with great emphasis on using recycled materials. One corner of this open space is devoted to a personal gym complete with stationary bike and treadmill. These two devices also generate the minimal amount of electricity that may be required by the tenant. The manual water pump draws up fresh water from the on property well, a turn of the century system that has been lovingly maintained.

Bathrooms have antique fixtures and also draw water from the onsite well for sink and bath. The innovative fire grill constructed under the tub allows hot baths without the effort of heating water on the stove and carting it into the bathroom. A supply of matches, wood chips and small logs can be stored in the convenient hand crafted cabinet just underneath the sink.

Bedrooms are equipped with their own fire grates, wood storage cabinets and candle holders. The master bedroom comes with a vintage water bed that seldom leaks. Repair kit is included.
